Pep Guardiola says the injury sustained by Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool “doesn’t look good”.
Ederson, 30, suffered the injury after colliding with Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez in the 47th minute.
The collision resulted in a penalty which was dispatched by Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister to level the score at 1-1.

Despite trying to play on, Brazil international Ederson was subsequently taken off, being replaced by Stefan Ortega in the 56th minute.
“It doesn’t look good,” Guardiola told beIN Sports when asked about the severity of Ederson’s injury.
Ederson was named in the Brazil squad for their international friendlies against England on March 23 and Spain on March 26.

Guardiola also spoke about Kevin De Bruyne’s reaction to being substituted at a key point in the game.
De Bruyne, 32, appeared unhappy at being withdrawn in the 69th minute and was in conversation with Guardiola and then assistant coach Juanma Lillo after he exited the pitch.
The Belgium international set up the game’s opening goal with John Stones converting his near-post corner in the 23rd minute.
When asked about the decision to substitute De Bruyne, Guardiola said: “Yeah (the substitution was tactical). Yeah (he wanted to stay on). I like it, I like it.”
The draw means that Arsenal will remain on top of the Premier League until after the March international break, with neither they nor Liverpool or City playing in the Premier League next weekend. Arsenal face City at the Etihad Stadium on March 31.
City are next in action against Newcastle United in their FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday.
